Avalanche Awareness & Tree Well Safety Day is a great opportunity to spend a day increasing your knowledge and experience about avalanche safety while mingling with like-minded backcountry enthusiasts. Whether you are a total beginner or a snow guru, this day is for you.
We will have the following events to promote Avalanche Awareness in our community:

8:30am - 4pm | Managing Avalanche Terrain Course (email ast@skiwhitewater.com for waitlist)
10am - 2pm | Avalanche Education with Nelson Search & Rescue
11am - 3pm | Beacon Basin 'Treasure Hunt' with Backcountry Skiing Canada
12pm - 1pm | Ski Patrol Meet & Greet upstairs in the Day Lodge
1pm - 2pm | Snow Profile Demo on Summit
