We can't wait to kick off Kootenay Coldsmoke Powderfest on the mountain today with some fantastic clinics, an NBC Beer Tasting, and our Artist in Residence Live Painting Session with Kathryn Wright!
Then tonight, we're excited to host the Coldsmoke favourite, KORE Outdoors Stories to Tell, at The Capitol Theatre!
Hosted by Rebeckah Hornung, this gathering celebrates the rich snowsport culture of the Kootenays and beyond, featuring tales and presentations from notable adventure journalists, athletes, and mountain enthusiasts including Chic Scott, Jayme Moye, Lauren Powers, Chris Rubens, and Jess Leahey. It will be an evening filled with captivating narratives, insights into mountain sports, and a strong sense of community spirit.
Plus, we're stoked to host a first-of-its-kind Topsheet Art Gallery at the event. From 6:00pm to 7:00pm and during intermission, incredible and unique ski and snowboard topsheet designs from artists in the region and beyond will be on display in The Capitol Theatre's foyer.
