Periods of snow, snow, flurries, and snow showers
Those of you who have seen the recent weather forecast for Whitewater are probably celebrating. That is, if you aren't too busy skiing to celebrate. It's not often that one can look at the 7-day forecast and see little clouds, with three or four snowflakes beneath, for each day. This is very good news for skiers like us. Though we like the occasional bluebird day, we know that greybird days are the signal of powder and snowfall that we live for. Grey days get the job done.
If we'd gone south for the holidays, this kind of current forecast would depress us. Cloudy day at the beach--no thanks. Instead, we've chosen to stay. Many of us welcoming friends and family to our little neck of the woods to eat, drink and be merry over the holidays. It'll be pretty tough not to be merry with a forecast like this. And all of it on top of a settled snowpack of 190cms. I say: ho, ho, ho.
