Storm Track...Engaged
As skiers we all spend a lot of time watching the weather. I've got my websites and notifications, much like most pow-craving riders. And while the season has been a gooder here at Whitewater (especially considering how dry the rest of North America is), we haven't had cause to press the full Kootenay Gold blower high alert status button. But that looks like it's all about to change, thanks to a jet stream that's finally switched it's point of origin from the deep south to the high north. When I see pictures like this, I get excited. I make plans to get my work done early, I start to make excuses for not being around Monday morning...etc, etc. Of course, you all know the drill. Time to wax them up friends. It's going to get deep and it's going to stay cold. And that's why we live here.
