Whitewater wraps up with a Powda-day
Closing weekend at Whitewater saw 58cm fall over two days to bring the settled snowpack total at just under the three metre mark for the season. Looking back I am sure everyone remembers the huge dumps of snow we got all December long? If not, let me refresh your memory. It actually snowed every day in December! Total snowfall: 343cm. More than double what we usually receive.
Through January, February, March and April it snowed another 453cm with a brief week of summer corn skiing thrown in at the end of March for good measure.
So if you didn't get your powder fix in December (or the rest of the year for that matter) hopefully you found time to come out on the closing weekend, get in some turns and take in the big splash event. This event is always a crowd pleaser and this year was no exception.
Here's a raise of the glass, a tip of the hat, a high five or whatever other way you prefer to say thanks Whitewater!
Another great season, and what a way to finish it off.

See you in 8 months.
