Required Equipment
- Skis with metal edges or splitboard
- Bindings (alpine touring or telemark)
- Boots (walk mode strongly recommended)
- Skins (one pair minimum)
- Poles
- Helmet
- Gloves
- Pack (capable of carrying skis or splitboard)
- Three-antenna avalanche transceiver
- Probe
- Shovel with handle
- Protective eyewear – sunglasses and/or goggles
- Emergency blanket or bivy
- Whistle
- Three top layers (one must be worn, others can be in pack)
- Two bottom layers (one must be worn, other can be in pack)
- Recommended: Food, Water, Neck tube or similar insulating head or face covering
