Ice Skates to Snowboard
After a few attempts at my local ski hill I finally told my parents at 17 that I was swapping out my ice skates for a snowboard, so when I graduated highschool in 2012 I moved from Whitby, ON to Whistler, BC for a staff pass and got to work on my riding legs. After my first season, my rental home caught on fire and I was faced with legal costs and an empty bank account which eventually led me back to Ontario for a challenging three year stint (west really is best, baby!)
In 2017 I moved back for good and though Whistler was a great fall back plan, I decided in 2018 that I wanted more mountain experiences and chose to join some pals here in our special little pocket, I've since called Nelson home.
Park to Backcounty
Pushing my park roots aside, I took some backcountry courses and started pushing myself in new ways. Turns out my freestyle experience has translated well into a playful and unique freeride style. Today, I'm passionate about getting more representation in the snowboarding community, encouraging youth and adults alike to find their inner child and let it shine on the slopes. I love getting inspired by people facing their fears and pushing themselves. I'm so excited to be part of this team and see what wonderful things will come.
