Gentemstick Bowl & Bank Session.

First of all, the G is pronounced like GOOGLE not like GENTELMAN. You could Google it, or you could just leave it to your imagination until March 30th and then head over to Sluice Box and have a look for yourself. Have you ever seen the film ??Dog Town and Z Boys??/span>? Well it?? a skateboarding film from the seventies, and my favorite part is when they find an empty swimming pool. They have a stroke of genius, drop in and have the best session of their lives skating the pool. Imagine a bunch of snowboarders stumbling across a giant, empty swimming pool made out of snow... Okay, it?? not really very similar since the Gentemstick snow bowl requires a week of heavy machinery to build it out of snow, but can you envision it slightly now? It?? not a half pipe, it?? not a quarter pipe. Words can?? describe it. You??l just have to see it to believe it!Whitewater Ski Resort is proud to be able to host the first ever Gentemstick Bowl & Bank Session in North America. Sweetgrass Productions will be on site filming pro riders from around the world shred the bowl March 30th. The bowl designers are coming from Japan to oversee the building process and hand shape the bowl before the riders drop in. Keep your fingers crossed, if the weather cooperates, we will keep the bowl open as long as we can and open to the public to ride. Skiers and boarders are welcome. This will be a great spectator event! Slide off the Silver King chair over to lower Sluice Box and watch the event unfold. The bowl will be visible from the base area, but walking up to the bowl is not permitted. Share your snow bowl pictures with us on Facebook and Twitter, tell us about your opportunity to ride the first ever Gentemstick snow bowl in North America!
