HUGE Results for the Whitewater Freeride Team!
The IFSA North American Junior Championships were held at Snowbird Resort April 9th - 13th for skiers aged 12 - 18. These championships determined the overall standings in the IFSA for the winter of 2013/2014. We are proud to report great results from our Competitive Freeride Team! It has been incredible to watch the results roll in throughout the season, and this past weekend was no exception! 9 team members made it to the finals! The whole team skied incredibly well and made us proud. They had some challenging skiing conditions including hot weather, whiteouts, event thunder and lightning delayed the event for awhile!
Here are the overall 2013/2014 IFSA standings for our Competitive Freeride Team.
Heading into the competition, Savannah Leishman held the most amount of points in the IFSA for her age category in all of North America, and she managed to hold that title! Big congratulations to Savannah for winning 1st place overall in the Female 12 - 14 age category! It should also be mentioned that Savannah is the only Canadian to be named on this list of 2014 IFSA Champions! Andi Belland also made it to the finals in the same category and finished 14th overall for the 2013/2014 season! Honorable mention goes to Ohia Wintraub for placing 65th as well!

In the 15 - 18 overall standing for female: Congratulations to Haley Cooke who finished 5th! Our girls are really placing us on the map this year! Honorable mention also goes to Mia Kraus who placed 66th overall.
