"I love this place ..."

Five times over her first day skiing at Whitewater my sister said "I love this place". This is her second time here. She came to visit for the first time last Christmas and was quickly planning how she could come back the next season. It took her two days to get here when she could have easily made it to the European Alps in a day. I'd like to take credit for the reason she is here but if I am honest it's as much the skiing as it is to catch up with me as we will be seeing each other again in a few months anyway. The following times she said "I love this place" refreshed my appreciation of Whitewater:1. We drove into the carpark early with the view of Ymir Peak beaming at us and parked a few rows from the lodge.2. A friendly staff member in rentals helped her out with a binding issue she was having. 3. Following a friendly chat with a local on the Summit Chair. 4. After skiing soft bumps down Silver Ledge.5. Sitting down to a fresh espresso coffee with snack on a break in the lodge.I had a renewed sense of how relaxed it is to ski at Whitewater (especially mid-week). No insane crowds, friendly staff and skiers, great food and most importantly great snow. Now I remember why I live here.
