JaPOW, Bathrooms & Gnar Bar-ty!!
The Powder Alliance just got Japow-ier!! If you haven’t heard yet, Kiroro Japan has joined the Powder Alliance for the 2016/17 winter season!
Kiroro Snow World is located in Hokkaido Japan and claims to have some of the deepest powder in the world with 800 inches of fresh snow annually. Amazing! The resort offers 1,200 acres of in-bound terrain and like Whitewater, flies under the radar when it comes to more high profile resorts. The lack of crowds, abundance of snow and tree skiing makes Kiroro one for the ski vacation bucket list!
Being a part of the Powder Alliance, our pass holders get to shred 3 FREE DAYS at 14 other resorts including Schweitzer & Silverstar. That means 42 days of free skiing!!! Visit powderalliance.com for a full list of participating resorts.
We are getting pretty excited to reopen our snowy doors in just a few months! Whoa! If the universe cooperates with us, we are scheduled to open on December 9th. Time to brush the dust off of those skis and boards and start the tune ups. To help build the stoke, let's talk about what has been going on up at the mountain.
If you didn't receive the newsletter via snail mail, here's your chance to do some catching up. Some very exciting improvements have been made over the summer, not only on the slopes, but also in the lodge:
- Washroom Reno’s- The team has been very busy updating and DOUBLING the women's washrooms! We have added 5 new stalls. No more washroom lineups? Yes please!
- Grooming on Glory- The crew took the bulldozer to Goldigger so that we can get the cats out earlier to groom!
- Summit Chair Ski Way Extended- Now you can catch the ski way from anywhere on the Summit side!
- Increased shredability on Morning Glory & Sleeper- Enjoy a wider entrance to Morning Glory and more space to slash the pow with fresh glading on skiers left of Sleeper.
Don’t forget to purchase your early bird Season Passes before September 30th to receive the best rates. However, new this year we are introducing a 3 tiered system. From October 1st until opening, we are offering a “Pre Season” rate, so there is still time to save! View our Pre Season rates.
Being the last day to purchase Season Passes at the early bird rate, you’d best mark September 30thon your calendar!! It’s BC Culture Days and Whitewater will be celebrating during the day at the office with a sidewalk sale and a wax/tune workshop.
