Nip in the air and Powder Alliance
I know--it's still August. Please forgive me but my ski-dream cycle has already started. Perhaps it's that nip in the air as we drift off to sleep. Or the fact that the end of the Early Bird Season's Pass deadline is less than eight weeks away. Likely, it's a combo of all these factors (and maybe the ski film trailers that are starting to drop, too).
If you are on the fence about a pass, you should read about La Nina---it looks like we might be in for another good 'un. One other little detail to consider is the Powder Alliance. Hopefully you know what I am talking about. The Powder Alliance is a group of like-minded (and "vibed") ski resorts which have bonded together to offer/swap free ski days to their passholders. Ever wanted to shred Crested Butte, Snowbasin or even hit some insane Japow at Kiroro? Pick up a pass at Whitewater and say "yes, we can" -- at these and many other resorts. Check out the Powder Alliance site for more details.
And here's a little reciprocity in action: some shots taken at Bridger Bowl in Montana last April. I was amazed at how easy it all was. Next season, more new mountains (in addition to WH2O, of course)!
My very own pass for three days.
Looking back at the lodge. Almost as chill as Whitewater.
About to drop into Hidden Gully. Much fun after the initial slope.
