Ski Team hosts first BC Alpine Teck Ski Race

The Whitewater Ski Team is hosting the first BC Alpine Teck Ski Race of the year, January 12 and 13, 2013 at Whitewater Ski Resort in Nelson.We will have over 100 ski racers, with athletes coming as far away as Calgary, and ranging in age from 9-69. There are racers coming from Fernie, Red, Kimberly, Salmo, Summit and Phoenix ski hills.This a big event, with over 100 volunteers, 2 slalom courses, taking place over 2 days.The race is being held on Bonanza, with the finish line being a short distance from the lodge - there will be some great skiing to be seen!Awards will be held in front of Whitewater Lodge beginning at 4:00 pm. The Saturday banquet begins at 4:45 and is provided by Whitewater?? industry renowned Fresh Tracks Cafe.We are most pleased to be able to run our brand new timing equipment, especially Thanks to a gracious donation from Kal Tire. Whitewater Ski Resort is especially accommodating to the Whitewater Ski Team, and ensuring that the racers, volunteers, and spectators, have a wonderful experience.
