Carly Dow is a writer and musician whose style of wildcrafted folk has garnered international acclaim for its vivid imagery and enchanting melodies. With her background as an environmental scientist, she knows how to look closely and transform our world into intimate musical and poetic landscapes. Her songwriting and poetry reflect a deep appreciation of beauty and darkness balanced throughout personal, physical, and natural histories. Carly’s studio albums, Comet and Ingrained, were toured extensively and held placement in the National Top 10 folk/roots charts. Her poetry has been published in Canadian journals, Prairie Fire and Contemporary Verse 2.
Carly currently lives in the Kootenay mountains of BC within the traditional territory of the Ktunaxa, Sinixt, and Syilx nations.
