Opening Day Winter Operations 2022
Snow conditions are looking great with over 114 cm of settled snowpack. You’ll be sure to enjoy the skiing and riding quality as you find yourself in some of our favourite light and fluffy snow. It’s going to be an awesome opening weekend welcoming back our Whitewater community!
Here is everything you need to know before arriving at the mountain on December 9th:
Thanks to the hard work of our mountain operations team, we will be opening up 85% of the Summit chair terrain on opening day!
We will be offering 50% off our full mountain lift ticket rates until the Silver King is back up and running. Please note that with the Silver King and Glory chairs not running for opening, the only green terrain offered will be from the Hummer Handle Tow. We will update our guests with more information about the Silver King chair repair and the quality of the Glory terrain next week, but we're optimistic that we'll have them spinning very soon!
Plus, when we move to full mountain operations, you can pre-purchase your Lift Tickets online to save up to 25% off the window rates! Don’t waste time purchasing your ticket at the hill if you want first chair. Online rates are available until midnight the night before you hit the hill.
Although the snow conditions are great, it is still early season conditions so please ski and ride with care. We ask guests to respect all terrain closures, which are in place for your safety and the safety of our on-mountain teams. More runs will open as soon as conditions permit, but until then please take a cautious approach to terrain selection. Safety first!

Whitewater has 5 parking lots to access its base resort operation and Nordic facilities, and there are a few changes to traffic flow this season. We ask all guests to review the recommended travel paths when navigating the resort to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.
